This site not only showcases original music and lyrics written by Robbie G and close friends, but also, it provides show dates, music, information, and photos for the following bands:
Dancin’ Dawg Productions provides live music; small venue sound consulting and engineering; and personalized DJ services for parties and special events. Additionally, I can write songs and lyrics for any occasion in any genre, specializing in pop, jazz, classic rock, rhythm and blues and music with a Native American sound. Do you need a jingle for an ad? No problem. Would you like a song written to commemorate your special event? I’m the man for the job.
Songwriting comes easy for me and I enjoy making music for others. I often compose lyrics and music with an acoustic guitar. I then record it with other talented musicians. My songs usually provide the listener with a good mental image of what the song is about. I like for the listener to be able to bean active listener and have the ability to make a connection with a song.
Throughout the last 20 years, I have also been inspired by American history and music, including Native American and Hawaiian culture, as such, many of my songs stem from this inspiration.
Dancin’ Dawg Productions says thanks to the following musical artists for being the inspiration behind the music showcased on this site… Bob Dylan, the Grateful Dead, the Band, the Neville Brothers, Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, James Brown, the Radiators, Widespread Panic, all the Woodstock and Monterey Pop musicians, the music of Motown, and many of the classic rock bands of the 60s and 70s. And, let’s not forget songwriter, Burt Bacharach.
The Beatles, Cream, the Rolling Stones, the Clash, the Who, the Police, Pink Floyd, Traffic, and U2 are some of my European inspirations. I’d also like to thank jazz legends such as Stanley Turrentine, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, David Sanborn, and Branford Marsalis. Throughout the last 20 years, I have also been inspired by Native American history and music. As such, many of my songs stem from this inspiration. I am so grateful to these artists and so many others that have inspired my songwriting and music..
I hope you enjoy the songs and music here, as well as all the other information on this site. Check out the bands, too! All band performances generate creative sound and energy. We combine improvisation with old standards, transporting the audience and band into a connected, spiritual groove. The bands guarantee a good time. We create a good lovin’ gathering of hipsters, folksters, and rockers who enjoy good music. We promote positive vibes. It’s all good. Check out our events calendar and come see for yourselves.
